Mark had a terrible car accident. His wife Jane, who was sitting in the passenger seat, died in the accident. Overwhelmed with guilt, Mark moves to the old country house they had bought to enjoy the summers and starts organizing his wife's funeral. But the house soon reveals a disturbing presence: Jane's.
Mark is followed by a psychologist who has left some recordings in the house. In these, the psychologist claims to have planted puzzles to keep Mark's mind occupied and help him process the grief, freeing himself from guilt.
