Zero Point Software is an independent game developer, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, founded to produce Interstellar Marines. Originally started as a medium-scale conventional indie studio with significant investor backing to produce Interstellar Marines as an "AAA indie" game, it has gone through a drawdown due to the withdrawal of investors following the 2008 financial crisis. The developers later attempted to crowdfund the rest of their development, but the campaign failed to raise enough funds. With their flagship game in Steam Early Access since 2013 and funding issues as of yet unresolved, the studio has been reduced to the lead developer working with volunteers, and the project remains ongoing, albeit slowly.
